Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park


Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park is located in the state of California.

This park contains the worlds largest living thing, the General Sherman Tree, this tree is over 1,000 years (shown below).

Also, the Sequoia forest contains the worlds oldest trees as well as the largest.

In this park there is also the Kings Canyon, the deepest canyon in the United States.



This park contains vast wilderness, large mountains, deep canyons, the world's largest trees, and carvens (the picture below is of Mt. Whitney).

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park contains the second largest road-free wilderness area in America.

There is about 850 miles of trails to follow here.

The Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park offers tours of the crystal cave tours daily (except for when it's closed for Winter), this crystal cave contains a variety of different sized stalacitites and stalagmites in a range of different colors.

There is a wide range of animals in this park, from common to rare spieces of animals. some of the animals include deer, wolverines, mountain lions, bears, gray fox,, Bobcats, racoons, Coyotes, and a wide variety of rare fish and reptiles.

Fishing is allowed in most areas.

The climate of the park varies, depending on where you are, so dress in layers!

Most of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park is open all year round, but the lower parts of Kings Canyon are closed for the winter.
