Denali National Park and Preserve

Denali National Park and Preserve is located in Alaska. It is home to the content's highest peak, Mount McKinley at 20,320 feet. This vertical rock wall of ice would be a challenge to any climber. Mount Foraker at 17,400 feet would also bring great excitement to those who climb it.

Don't be surprised if you see both black bears and grizzly bears while on your trip. They are very commonly found all over the grounds of Denali.

At Denali it is extremely hard to predict the weather because it changes so often. In one day you could experence sun, wind, rain, and clouds. That is why it is very important to bring plenty of layers of clothing. It is so unpredictable that at times there is even snow in July.
