Everglades National Park

The Everglades National Park, located in Florida, is the third largest national park in the United States.
It covers an area of 1.5 million acres or around 2,400 square miles. It is open year round. There are many different types of activities for people of all ages to do. They include hiking trails, canoe and kayak trails, fishing, boating, camping, and ranger guided activities. There are also a variety of tours, such as wildlife tours by boat, on many different trails throughout the park.

On a monthly basis, there is an Art Exhibit held at the main entrance to the Park.

History: Due to the harmuful effects of drudging and draining in the area of the Everglades, a man named Ernest Coe decided he wanted to stop it by creating the area into a national park. In 1934, he convinced Congress to designate the Everglades as a national park. It took another 13 years to aquire the land and secure funding for it.

Weather: The weather consists of two main seasons: the busy, dry season and the slow, wet season.

Fees: You can either buy a 7-day pass for $10 or a 1-year pass with unlimited visits for $25.

So if you want lots of fun for a low cost, then go to Everglades National Park.
